Our Teacher

Mag. Fritz Schneeberger (dojo-cho)

4. dan Aikido (fukushidoin teacher certificate issued by Mutokukai)
3. dan Ryushin Shouchi Ryu iaijutsu

For the first time I got acquainted with a martial art during my time at school. But my Judo career only lasted a few years. In summer 2001 I took part in a training of the Aikidō Union in Graz. On this day a passion was awakened, which has not stopped until today …

Shortly afterwards, I moved my life to Salzburg for study purposes. There I also met Wolfgang R. Fürst sensei and in the following years I continued my lessons with great enthusiasm in the Enshiro Dojo Salzburg, which he had founded.

The last year of my studies I spent in Italy, where I practiced Aikidō in Verona. Afterwards, I returned to the well-known Enshiro Dojo in Salzburg, before I finally moved to Vienna. At the end of 2008 I joined the Enshiro Dojo Union Vienna, which was newly founded there by Wolfgang. I became one of its first students there.

Graduations in Aikidō and iaijutsu
In March 2010 I graduated to shodan no Aikikai (1st dan). In May 2012 I successfully passed the exam for nidan (2nd dan), in July 2015 my sandan exam (3rd dan). In the summer of 2019 the yondan graduation (4th dan) followed as well.

Since 2011 I have also been learning the iaijutsu of the Ryushin Shouchi Ryu under soke Yahagi Kunikazu, which I acquire in regular training under the guidance of Wolfgang R. Fürst sensei. In 2013 I passed the examination for shodan (1st dan), in 2015 for nidan (2nd dan) and in spring 2018 for sandan (3rd dan).

Stays in Japan
In summer 2015 I was able to critically review and complement my experiences in Aikido – and budo in general – during an extended trip to Japan. During the so-called Masters Tour under the guidance of Léo Tamaki (Kishinkai Aikidō) sensei I gained first-hand impressions of the country, culture and people. During another trip to the land of the rising sun in 2018 I was able to deepen my experiences.

In September 2015 I opened my dojo called Aikido Yuyashinkai in Vienna.

Teachers who inspire me
I regularly attend the seminars of Stéphane Benedetti (7th dan shihan and technical director of Mutokukai). For many years I have been a student of Wolfgang R. Fürst sensei (6. dan Aikikai) from the Enshiro Dojo Union Vienna.

Over the years I have attended courses with Tamura Nobuyoshi shihan (†), Yamada Yoshimitsu shihan (†), Suga Toshiro shihan, Claude Pellerin sensei, Rene Van Droogenbroeck sensei (†), and many others.

In addition, I had the opportunity to experience some outstanding personalities of Aikido and other Japanese martial arts personally (in alphabetical order: Abe Seiseki shihan, Hino Akira sensei, Irie Yoshinori soke, Shimitsu Kenji sensei, Kono Yoshinori sensei, Kuroda Tetsuzan soke, Royama Hatsuo sensei, doshu Ueshiba Moriteru, Ueshiba Mitsuteru sensei, and others).

Matthias Deutschmann sensei and Peter Sandbichler sensei were my direct teachers during my time in Salzburg.
