Kagami biraki livestream from Aikikai so hombu

Besides the new years greetings of doshu Moriteru Ueshiba, the hono embu, the demonstration held by dojo-cho Mitsuteru Ueshiba, and the rank certificates being awarded, I’d like to recommend to listen to the speech held by 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗵𝗶 𝗧𝗮𝗱𝗮 shihan (9th dan Aikikai) at the end of the ceremony. Here is a short outtake:

“Consistent dedication to the improvement of your Aikido practise is necessary. (…) To move forward along this path without stopping, practise at home is essential. Under any situation it can be accomplished. That is: From ki no renma, the cultivation of spirit originating from kokyu ho, to the basics of footwork and the sequences of techniques. To creating your own impressions, all these things can be done.”
