While I was still training to become a kindergarten teacher, a school friend took me along to a Tae Kwon Do class. From that moment on, I was completely hooked on Asian martial arts. When the Tae Kwon Do school closed down after eight years—just after I had passed my 1st Dan exam—I spent many years looking for a good place to practice martial arts again.

This search eventually led me to Aikido in 2010 to the Enshiro Dojo Union Vienna of Wolfgang Fürst Sensei. The techniques of the art fascinated me instantly. I realized that the philosophy behind this martial art aligns perfectly with my outlook on life. Since then, I have been training with great enthusiasm, constantly moving forward on my Aikido path.

Since 2022, I have been practicing regularly at Fritz Schneeberger’s Yuyashinkai Dojo. The atmosphere there is always cooperative and welcoming, and Fritz is a joyful, empathetic teacher.
