Reminder for this years kagami biraki

Dear students,

this year’s traditional new years’ ceremony, called kagami biraki, takes place on Thursday, January 16th.
The routine is as follows:

• At 6 pm we meet at the dojo and prepare/clean (misogi) everything, so that
• at 6.45 pm we can start with a short training of about 30 minutes.
• At 7.15 pm we start the ceremony with a demonstration (called embu) in which every student is welcome to take part and show some Aikido techniques.
• Depending on the number of participants, the embu will end at around 8 pm.
• Afterwards, we will have a sip of sake (and/or water, juice, aso.) and a bite of Japanese rice cake (mochi) to welcome the new training year.

Everyone, including family and friends, is very welcome to come by and watch our demonstration.
